Hammerheads Florida Travel Lacrosse Club holding tryouts on Sat. Jan. 24th from 12 - 3 at BCHS.

 

Lacrosse Player -

 

This summer a boys elite lacrosse travel club will be established for Southwest Florida boys with graduating classes of 2010-2106.   We will separate you into age groups of U13, U15 and U17 and have at least one team for each age group.  Next year we will add a U19 team.   Our local teams will be called the "Hammerheads Lacrosse Club" and be part of a larger statewide team called Team Fins.

 

The team will practice locally once a week in May/June/July and October/November approximately 10 times and will meet in the Orlando area 4 times with the Team Fins players from other parts of the state for combined practice and scrimmages.

 

Team Fins is directed by Jacksonville University's Division I men's coach Matt Kerwick (former Hobart coach) and Patrick Harnet a recent graduate of Hofstra.   All Team Fins players will be taught the same offense/defense.  This will allow Team Fins players from all parts of the state to combine into travel teams and be able to play together.   Your local coaching staff includes, Matt Hunter, Eric Witul, Bill Percival, Rick Tillotson, Bob Miller and Jeff Ihm.

 

Players will have the opportunity to play in tournaments within the State of Florida, Southeast US and Northeast US.   Fundraising and scholarships options are available.

The Hammerheads LC are having tryouts next Saturday January 24th from noon to 3:00 at Barron Collier.
